This policy currently applies to the public Curriva Publishing website. Authenticated learning platforms, institutional implementations, e-commerce services, the Curriva AI Concierge, or other future products may be governed by additional privacy notices, school or institutional agreements, or product-specific terms.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide

We may collect information you choose to provide, including:

  • Your name, email address, organization, institution, job title, or professional role.
  • Your area of interest, such as author proposals, instructor adoption, peer review, institutional partnerships, AI learning pilots, investment, or strategic partnerships.
  • The content of messages, proposals, manuscripts, attachments, feedback, or other communications you send to us.
  • Information you provide when requesting permissions, accessible formats, technical assistance, or customer support.

The current public inquiry form prepares an email in your email application. The information is transmitted when you choose to send that email.

Account information

The public website may display a login interface for future Curriva services. As of the effective date of this policy, the public website login is not connected to an active authentication system. Before Curriva activates account services, we will provide additional information about the data collected, the purposes for collection, and the choices available to users.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the website, Curriva and its hosting, security, or technical service providers may automatically process limited technical information, such as your Internet Protocol address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, pages requested, date and time of access, and diagnostic or security information. This information may be contained in standard server or hosting logs.

3. Cookies and Technical Data

Curriva does not currently use advertising cookies, behavioral advertising pixels, or cross-site tracking technologies on the public website. The website may rely on essential browser functions and technical services required to deliver, secure, and operate the site. Our hosting provider may process technical logs and similar information as part of providing those services.

If Curriva later adds analytics, embedded media, advertising technologies, or nonessential cookies, we will update this policy and provide any notices or choices required by applicable law.

4. How We Use Information

We will not use personal information for materially different purposes without providing appropriate notice and obtaining consent when required.

5. How We Disclose Information

Curriva does not sell personal information. We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers. We may use hosting, email, security, information technology, cloud storage, professional, or other vendors that process information on our behalf and for authorized business purposes.
  • Professional review and business operations. When appropriate, information may be shared with editors, peer reviewers, contractors, advisors, or institutional partners involved in evaluating or supporting a request, proposal, publication, or service.

  • With your direction or consent. We may disclose information when you ask us to or otherwise authorize the disclosure.

6. AI and Educational Services

Curriva is developing guided AI-supported learning services. The public website does not currently provide an active AI Concierge or collect AI conversation data through the displayed demonstration.

Before launching an AI-supported or authenticated educational service, Curriva intends to provide product-specific disclosures describing the information collected, who can access it, how long it is retained, how institutions and instructors may use it, and whether information may be used to evaluate or improve the service. Curriva will not rely on a hidden or retroactive change to this public website policy to introduce a materially different use of student, instructor, or institutional data.

Institutional implementations may also be governed by written agreements addressing educational records, data security, accessibility, retention, deletion, subprocessors, and other responsibilities. Users should not enter sensitive personal information, confidential institutional information, or regulated data into future AI features unless the applicable service documentation and their institution authorize that use.

7. Children’s Privacy

The public Curriva Publishing website is intended primarily for educators, authors, institutions, professionals, and adult visitors. It is not directed to children under 13, and Curriva does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through the public website.

Curriva may later offer educational services that can be used by schools or learners of different ages. Before offering services that collect personal information from children, Curriva will evaluate applicable legal requirements and implement appropriate notices, agreements, permissions, consent mechanisms, and safeguards.

8. Data Security

Curriva uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information in light of the nature of the information and the risks involved. No method of transmission, storage, or security is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Please do not send highly sensitive personal information, passwords, financial account information, health information, government identification numbers, or confidential student records through the general inquiry form or ordinary email unless Curriva has provided an approved secure method for that purpose.

9. Data Retention

Curriva retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including responding to inquiries, evaluating proposals, maintaining business and publishing records, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements. Retention periods may vary based on the type of information, the relationship involved, contractual obligations, legal requirements, and operational needs.
